A letter

We got a letter from Joseph last Fri. In quick summary-All they do is work on doing different things in rows. He has to carry a rifle everywhere but the shower. (He wrote as if he thought this was abnormal, but when you are in the Army of course your going to be carrying a gun!) He also has been assigned to carry the medic bag. If he is lucky he gets 3 minutes to eat his meals. Good thing he is one of the fastest eaters I have met. The day he wrote they did an exercise where the put on padding and beat a partner with a padded stick. What a great place it sounds like to be. But good news, according to Joseph I am more fun and interesting than those out there. Unfortunately he says that it doesn't look like he'll get to call. So we will be the old-fashioned couple who have to write. It was good to hear from him. And some great news-we are done bottling peaches!!! Now to move on to pears....

Good to hear he's doing well. Sounds kind of fun to go back to snail mail!
